With gratitude, I welcome the holding of the Jakarta Geopolitical Forum X 2026, which carries the theme Strengthening Multilateralism: Survival Amid Global Turbulence and a Fragmented World. This forum serves as an important platform for thinkers, practitioners, and world leaders to discuss increasingly complex geopolitical challenges, as well as to find joint solutions in strengthening multilateralism.
Today, the world faces global turbulence marked by political fragmentation, economic rivalry, and security uncertainty. In such a situation, multilateralism is not just a choice, but an urgent necessity to ensure the continuity of peace, stability, and human welfare. Indonesia, through Lemhannas RI, is committed to continuing to play an active role in promoting inclusive, fair, and sustainable international cooperation.
This forum is expected to enrich strategic perspectives, strengthen international networks, and generate innovative ideas that are relevant to global dynamics. I believe that through open dialogue and constructive collaboration, we can find a way out of fragmentation towards a more harmonious world order.
Finally, I would like to express my appreciation to the team who has contributed to the organization of this forum. Hopefully, the Proceeding of the Jakarta Geopolitical Forum X 2026 will become an important reference towards the milestone in strengthening multilateralism amid the world's turbulence.
